Atlas Copco: FlexiROC T30 R

Atlas Copco has launched the FlexiROC T30 R radio remote control tophammer drill rig equipped with either a COP 1240 or COP 1640 drill for 2- to 3.5-in. holes. The standard hydraulic carousel-type rod handling system uses 12-ft. rods. The carousel carries four rods for a maximum drilling depth of 57 ft. The FlexiROC T30 R comes with an interim Tier 4 Cummins QSB4.5 turbo charged engine providing improved diesel consumption over its predecessor, the ROC D3 RRC. It is well suited to demanding construction or small- to medium-size quarrying jobs. www.atlascopco.us Keep Reading

Cleveland Gear Co.

The new line of screw conveyor reducers from Cleveland Gear Co. is available in five sizes ranging from 2 to 6 and ratios of 15-to-1 and 25-to-1. The screw conveyor reducers are suitable for American Gear Manufacturers Association Class I, II or III applications. The rugged cast-iron housings are precision-machined and drilled to accept their screw conveyor mounting adapters. The carburized, casehardened and ground-helical gearing allows for quiet operation, higher load capacity and more efficient operation. Conveyor Equipment Manufacturers Association (CEMA) mounting adapter kits provide all of the components necessary for screw conveyor applications. In order to facilitate easy mounting, the screw conveyor reducers feature output shafts that are machined to match the company’s hollow bores. www.clevelandgear.com Keep Reading

Hitachi: EX2600-6

Hitachi's EX2600-6 excavator is heavier than its predecessor and has more engine hp, and the backhoe version has increased bucket capacity. Estimated productivity increases are 13 percent for the short-reach backhoe and 4 percent for the loader version. Loading time for the truck has also been lessened, Hitachi says. The bucket capacity for the backhoe version has been increased from 19.6 to 22.2 cu. yd. The reach of the backhoe front attachment has been shortened and the engine output boosted to achieve higher productivity. Because the engine output has been boosted by 7 percent, the cooling performance of the radiator and oil cooler has been increased as well to protect the engine and hydraulic devices, thanks to the use of one 60-in. fan rather than two 44-inch ones. www.hitachimining.com Photo: Hitachi Keep Reading

Legacy Building Solutions

Legacy Building Solutions is describing its line of fabric buildings as the first to incorporate structural steel beams instead of open web trusses. The new engineering concept provides flexibility for portable or stationary soil remediation facilities, vehicle maintenance sheds, storage buildings and other fabric structures used in mining. Also, Legacy’s straight sidewall design allows for the inclusion of a variety of overhead doors, exit doors and dormers along the sides. Structures can be modified to provide desired eave extensions and interior columns. They also can be engineered to carry ancillary systems that need to be suspended, including overhead cranes, fire suppression systems, ventilation and lighting. www.LegacyBuildingSolutions.com Photo: Legacy Building Solutions Keep Reading
