The MHS6203 module features Terex's Cedarapids LJ-TS screen with its ElJay oval stroke action. Other key features are an I-beam frame, rigid diagonal truss construction and galvanized steel structure that includes walkways, steps and guardrails. Terex MPS says the horizontal screen module was designed with logistics in mind and so the unit can be transported in one container. In all, the company's modular product line consists of several pre-designed static and semi-static crushing and screening plug-and-play modules. The MD5150 track drill, a customer-inspired design that drills holes up to 6 in. in diameter, incorporates a proven rock drill, a carousel rod changer, a new cab and other features that are designed to boost productivity and reduce operating costs. Caterpillar says the MD5150 reduces setup time thanks to the rod changer that holds six rods and accommodates multiple lengths and diameters of drill steel. Powerful dual-rod grippers and a unique gate design let the rod and gate move simultaneously. The rod changer is supported by a sturdy feed and 8-ft. boom that extends to 11 ft. for larger pattern coverage with fewer setups. Because the carousel rod changer weighs less and holds more rods than linear models, the boom extension can reach farther and drill deeper while maintaining stability. Baldor Electric Co.'s Dodge Type EXL tapered roller bearing provides both misalignment and expansion capability while maintaining Type E mounting dimensions. The new design incorporates a cartridge-style inner unit into a split ductile iron housing. According to Baldor, the split-housing design allows the inner unit to swivel freely in the housing, creating up to 4 degrees of static misalignment. Mounting dimensions are equivalent to any Type E dimensioned product. The sealed inner unit incorporates the Dodge XTS triple-lip seal for increased protection in harsh environments. The housing is made from ductile iron for added strength. According to Superior Industries, its engineers cut major setup time required to transition a swing axle TeleStacker conveyor from transport to radial positions. The swing axle XTP TeleStacker shifts from road to radial mode in between five and 10 minutes. That is compared to 45 to 60 minutes for the original model. Three key design features characterize the next generation swing axle XTP. First, to engage the stacker’s power travel, chains and sprockets are replaced with a pre-installed T-handle mechanism. While the chain and sprocket arrangement takes up to 30 minutes to install and can be tricky to guard, the new power travel system takes seconds to engage and needs no maintenance or guarding. Also, the new axle design requires fewer link arms during transport and operational modes.
