Smart-joint access pumps target rock-blasting applications

Seepex introduced BN pumps with smart-joint access (SJA), which are designed for rock-blasting applications. The company says the pumps are engineered to transfer abrasive, corrosive and chemical media in mining. The pump features a large inspection opening for quick joint checks, a compact footprint for mobile or skid-mounted installations and flexible drive and material options for consistent performance and uptime. Seepex says accurate and consistent loading of explosive emulsions ensures controlled fragmentation, protects personnel and maximizes productivity. BN pumps with SJA support maintenance checks by allowing verification of joint integrity and enabling efficient operations.

Reduce carryback, increase volumetric capacity

When clay, dirt and mud build up in haul truck bodies, it can significantly decrease volumetric capacity. Philippi-Hagenbuch, however, says its load-ejector system offers a solution. Load ejectors help eliminate carryback, effectively increasing load capacity and improving operational efficiency. The system allows users to haul the full rated capacity with each load and reduce downtime associated with removing carryback from the truck. When the body is raised, PHIL’s load ejector separates from the truck bed by gravity, ejecting material as it hangs vertically away from the body. This leaves an empty truck ready to take a full-capacity load.

Skirting liners reduce spillage, material buildup

RockGuard skirting liners from Superior Industries are designed to contain material within a transfer zone while reducing dust, spillage and preventing material buildup on the shelf of the liner. By combining adjustable skirtboards with RockGuard liners, Superior says producers protect the skirtboard structure itself, extending the life of the entire skirting system while reducing rebuild cycles and long-term maintenance costs. RockGuard skirting liners complement the company’s adjustable skirtboards, which help seal transfer points and load zones, reducing cleanup and worker risk. Superior’s skirtboard systems are engineered with a modular, adjustable design that allows operators to fine-tune length and height for each conveyor application, while creating a more effective seal along the belt to reduce fugitive dust.
