From the dawn of the original P&Q Handbook in 1907, to its digitization in the form of P&Q University in 1998 - 2000, Pit & Quarry continues its commitment to informing aggregates professionals at all stages and across all mediums. History of the Pit & Quarry Handbook The first Handbook was published in 1907 as a textbook-style resource guide, a full nine years before the launch of Pit & Quarry Magazine. Updated editions of the Pit & Quarry Handbook continued to roll out in the following decades, copies of the publication making their way into the hands both seasoned aggregates professionals as well as universities with mine-engineering curriculums.
