Ruston-Bucyrus 10-RB working with various attachments

This video, which was compiled, narrated and produced by Keith Haddock for the Historical Construction Equipment Association, features a Ruston-Bucyrus 10-RB working with a variety of attachments, including a skimmer and grabbing crane. The 10-RB was made in 1934 and continued into production until 1969. It was the same as the Bucyrus-Erie 10-B, with the exception of a the engine power and cab design. Keep Reading

The Hydro-Clean washing unit from W.S. Tyler uses up to 75 percent less water over traditional log washers, the company says. While traditional washing systems can require up to three screens along with a log washer or screw, W.S. Tyler says its Hydro-Clean only needs one additional wash screen. AGG1 2015 Exhibitor Profile: Kleemann/Wirtgen America

Kleemann impact crushers process reclaimed asphalt pavement and demolition concrete into value-added materials, the company reports. Wirtgen says its Mobirex MR 110 ZSi Evo 2 and the MR 130 ZSi Evo 2 will both be profiled at the show. Both impact crushers are differentiated by their size and productivity: the MR 110 ZSi Evo 2 has a crusher inlet opening of 43.3 in. and the MR 130 ZSi Evo 2 has a crusher inlet opening of 51 in. Wirtgen adds that the two impact crushers use direct drive crushers and electric drives for the vibrating conveyors, belts and pre-screen, permitting high fuel efficiency. AGG1 2015 Exhibitor Profile: Volvo Construction Equipment

The Volvo L250H wheel loader tackles heavy tasks with heightened safety and up to 18 percent better fuel economy with its OptiShift, which combines the company’s Reverse By Braking technology and a torque converter, the company reports. Volvo says the L250H’s automatic power shift and fully automatic power shift also ensure minimal fuel consumption and fast cycle times. Additionally, the L250H’s eco pedal encourages the operator to ease off the throttle, which lowers fuel consumption by applying a mechanical pushback force when the throttle is used excessively.
