In honor of National Safety Month, the Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM) is offering a free download of a safety poster.
According to AEM, the poster stresses the importance of understanding signal words such as danger, warning, caution and notice. The poster features safety best practices, such as ways to protecting yourself, develop a safety program, prepare and operate equipment, and maintain equipment. It also explains a variety of safety signals and offers precautions to take before digging.
“The mission of June National Safety Month is to build awareness, to educate and influence behaviors around the leading causes of preventable injuries and death, and the AEM poster is just one way contractors, rental companies and other industry stakeholders can promote a safer work environment,” says James Vos, AEM safety materials manager.
AEM has more than 900 members who aim to advance equipment manufacturers in the global marketplace.
