The Pennsylvania Aggregates & Concrete Association (PACA) added four members to its Ambassadors of the Industry Hall of Fame during its 42nd Annual Meeting at The Hotel Hershey in Hershey, Pennsylvania. Among those inducted was Daniel Whitmyer, territory sales manager at Kemper (pictured at right). Whitmyer is pictured here alongside Kemper president Greg Donecker.

Dave Maxwell, vice president at Amerikohl Aggregates (pictured at right), was also enshrined in the PACA Ambassadors of the Industry Hall of Fame. According to PACA, Maxwell guided Amerikohl through strategic growth and set standards in efficiency, compliance and environmental stewardship. Amerikohl president Jamie Stilley (left) joined Maxwell on stage for his Hall of Fame recognition.

Wysox Sand & Gravel’s David Blascak (right) joined the Ambassadors of the Industry Hall of Fame, as well. PACA says Blascak has guided Wysox through growth, innovation and Pennsylvania Department of Transportation certification – always exhibiting integrity, loyalty and a quiet mastery. Blascak is pictured alongside Wysox’s Dustin Bishop.

Additionally, Heidelberg Materials’ Ray Henderson was enshrined in the Hall of Fame. Described as an engineer, innovator and educator, PACA says Henderson shared his deep technical expertise to strengthen companies, customers and the industry at large. With Henderson unable to attend the meeting, Heidelberg Materials’ Dan Schaffer (left) and Jeremy Betts (right) represented him on stage.

In October, P&Q’s Jack Kopanski paid a visit to Five-S Group’s headquarters in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Five-S is an industrial site/civil construction firm offering site construction services, construction materials, and material handling and transport. Kopanski also visited Southern Stone Co., a Five-S subsidiary in Jackson, Missouri. Pictured here (from left) are Five-S’s Mickey Suiret and CEO Andre’ Smith alongside Southern Stone’s Chase LaPlace.

P&Q team members also attended the Ohio Aggregates & Industrial Minerals Association (OAIMA) Annual Meeting in Columbus, Ohio, which had a record turnout of 710 registrants and 97 vendors. Among the vendors there was Stedman Machine Co., whose representatives included (from left) Grant Cobb, Chris Nawalaniec and Logan Stultz, among others.

NPK, a manufacturer of construction equipment attachments, was also at the OAIMA Annual Meeting. Ben Moskowitz, pedestal boom specialist at NPK (left); Chris Salerno, sales director at NPK (second from left); Brian Mayfield, territory sales manager at Murphy Tractor Equipment Co. (third from left); and Ken Skala, district manager at NPK, were on hand.

Purple Wave Auction, an online equipment auction marketplace, was at the Columbus meeting, as well. Among those there were Tim Keane (left) and William Barrett.

In December, Kopanski represented the magazine at the South Carolina Aggregates Association (SCAA) Annual Meeting in Columbia, South Carolina. 2025 marked the fifth iteration of the event, with the meeting drawing more than 300 attendees and 55 exhibiting companies. Unified Screening & Crushing exhibited at the meeting, with Ben Lentsch (left) and Tyler Moretto manning the company’s booth.

Additionally, Haladjin Mineral Solutions was represented at the SCAA Annual Meeting by Josh Magrath (left) and Harold Maurer. For the second consecutive year, the SCAA Annual Meeting featured several pieces of heavy equipment. A portable crushing plant and a pair of wheel loaders were among the equipment showcased.
