
The 774 X-Tier and 824 X-Tier wheel loaders are John Deere’s latest production-class loader offerings. Engineered with demanding site conditions in mind, John Deere says the loaders are designed for customers looking to benefit from increased fuel efficiency, enhanced productivity and operator comfort. The 744 X-Tier and 824 X-Tier loaders feature the company’s electric variable transmission (EVT) E-Drive system. Both models feature a JD9 diesel engine as the primary power source. The torque converter and traditional transmission were replaced by the EVT system to offer more efficiency, the company says.
New model represents company expansion into dozers

HD Hyundai Construction Equipment North America, which offers earthmoving equipment such as wheel loaders, hydraulic excavators and articulated dump trucks, expanded its product line into crawler dozers. The HD100 dozer, a 115-net-hp model, is the first introduction for the company in the equipment category. The company says the HD100 is designed to be heavier and deliver more power and superior tractive ability than competitive dozers in its size class. The machine’s undercarriage system includes dual-flange rollers outside the chain of the track and single-flange rollers inside the chain of the track. As Hyundai describes, this design helps to ensure the track stays on the undercarriage to reduce wear and provide greater operator comfort.
Industrial gear units meet requirements for aggregates

XMiner industrial gear units are designed for the demands of aggregate applications – including conveyor systems, crushers and apron feeders. Built on the X.e series platform, SEW-Eurodrive says the XMiner units are available with local engineering, stocking and assembly in Wellford, South Carolina. As SEW-Eurodrive describes, the units provide several benefits to operators, including reduced weight and cost thanks to a high power density, a cooling system that eliminates the need for cooling alternatives, reduced inventory and spares, and local engineering and application support for proper sizing.
