Portable HSI plant expands wheeled crushing options
Cedarapids introduced the CRH5064 Cedarapids portable horizontal shaft impactor (HSI) plant, the newest addition to its wheeled plant portfolio. The 400-hp TI5064 HSI is at the core of the CRH5064, featuring a high-inertia four-bar rotor, a monoblock primary curtain with replaceable tips, hydraulic tramp iron relief and hydraulic-assisted apron adjustments. Cedarapids says these features maximize output while protecting the machine and operators. Prototype testing achieved production rates of 600 to 700 tph through the plant when processing 30-in.-minus shot rock limestone.

Track clamp master link simplifies field track installation
Caterpillar debuted the track clamp master link to improve track installation efficiency in the field by eliminating the need for a portable field press. The new track clamp master link, which replaces both slip-style and press-fit joints, requires no hydraulic tooling or presses, allowing operators to safely remove and install tracks without additional equipment. Cat says the track clamp master link can be used across a variety of hydraulic excavators and covers all types of undercarriages – including general duty, heavy duty and heavy duty XL. It’s currently available on the Cat 320 excavator, with more models planned to come this year.

New excavator takes performance to higher level
Komatsu introduced the PC365LC-11 excavator to the North American market. Featuring a refreshed exterior design, an enhanced operator cab and several new standard and optional features that are built and optimized for the North American construction market, the PC365LC-11 features an electric swing system with “boom-up” power assist. The dedicated electric swing motor improves swing speeds and operational efficiency, reducing cycle times in multifunction applications while delivering up to a 15 percent increase in productivity compared to Komatsu’s PC360LC-11 and PC360LCi-11. An ultracapacitor stores an additional 70 electric hp for acceleration when the engine is in ultra-low idle, providing on-demand power.

Mobile app leverages telematics for remote equipment insights
Vermeer launched the VermeerOne mobile application, which is now available on iOS and Android devices. According to Vermeer, the app extends comprehensive equipment management to smartphones and tablets, allowing equipment owners to manage their machines from anywhere with access to operator manuals, warranty information, machine locations, performance metrics and direct connection to their Vermeer dealer. For machines equipped with telematics, Vermeer says users gain capabilities such as operational status updates, fault code alerts and detailed analytics to optimize equipment utilization.

New system improves drilling speed, efficiency
Epiroc introduced the Coprod 89 as the next generation of the line’s technology. Designed to meet the demands of surface mining and quarrying applications, Epiroc says the upgraded system provides an increased rate of penetration and reduced fuel consumption thanks to increased flushing capabilities. Additionally, the company says the Coprod 89 drill string combines the speed of tophammer drilling and the precision of down-the-hole drilling while delivering improved wear resistance and simplified maintenance.
