Wendling Quarries purchases Iowa producer

Wendling Quarries acquired the assets of Gehrke Quarries, a family-owned and -operated business serving central Iowa.

According to Wendling Quarries, the deal yields it a new location south of Eldora, Iowa. The site will maintain the name Gehrke Quarry.

“This acquisition marks a significant step forward in enhancing our capabilities and expanding our market presence in central Iowa,” says Wendling Quarries in a written statement.

Wendling Quarries is headquartered in DeWitt, Iowa. The company has more than 30 operating locations, ranking 79th on the latest U.S. Geological Survey list of the nation’s top crushed stone producers.
