Vulcan Materials Co. elected Kathleen L. Quirk to its board of directors.
Quirk, who currently serves as executive vice president and CFO of Freeport-McMoRan Inc., will serve on the audit and finance committees for Vulcan.

With the addition of Quirk, the company’s 10-member board consists of nine independent directors.
