Volvo Construction Equipment is closing the Rokbak articulated hauler business, citing rising costs and global trade challenges.

Rokbak, which previously operated as Terex Trucks, has delivered off-highway articulated haulers for more than four decades. As part of a long-term strategic shift, Volvo CE plans to concentrate resources on its portfolio of core hauling solutions.

Rokbak customers will continue to see aftermarket support, Volvo CE says. The company expects the business closure to be final in the third quarter.

“We are deeply grateful to our loyal Rokbak customers, dealers, dedicated employees and supportive partners who have been part of this journey,” says Melker Jernberg, president of Volvo CE. “Our priority is to honor our commitments and deliver ongoing comprehensive support to Rokbak customers and partners.”

Rokbak was headquartered in a Volvo CE facility in Motherwell, Scotland. That facility will now focus on developing rigid haulers.
