Volvo Construction Equipment (Volvo CE) opened its second Volvo Certified Used Center in North America, located at Alta Equipment Co. (Alta) in New Hudson, Michigan.
The Alta location joins the initial Volvo Certified User Center opened last year for Arnold Equipment in Las Vegas.
The purpose of these centers is for off-lease Volvo equipment to undergo a 140-plus point inspection, according to Volvo CE, before being refurbished to original equipment manufacturer standards. Through the use of parts, factory updates and additional coverages, the equipment then becomes Volvo Certified Used.
The range of used equipment includes Volvo articulated haulers, excavators and wheel loaders, according to Volvo CE.
“Our Certified Used program is the best way to ensure you know exactly what you’re purchasing when investing in a used machine,” says Ryan Sherwood, vice president, retail development, at Volvo CE. “This gives the customer a machine with lower total cost of ownership over its lifecycle and confidence that it can withstand the most demanding jobs.”
According to Volvo CE, several additional centers are slated to open later this year at dealerships across North America.
Earlier this year, Alta earned Volvo CE’s top dealer award, as well.
