Christian Hallbjörner was appointed head of finance and CFO of Volvo Construction Equipment at the start of the year.
Hallbjörner succeeds Klara Eiritz, who chose to take on a new assignment outside Volvo CE.
Hallbjörner previously served as senior vice president of finance and CFO for Volvo Financial Services. According to Volvo CE, he brings more than 28 years of experience in finance, business control and business development to his position – including the last 15 years within Volvo Financial Services, Volvo Trucks and Volvo Penta.
“I’m excited to welcome Christian to Volvo CE,” says Melker Jernberg, head of Volvo CE.“With his extensive experience within the Volvo Group, Christian will be a key contributor in driving our financial agenda as we continue to transform our company.”
Additionally, Volvo CE appointed Malin Norman head of people and culture, effective March 1. Norman succeeds Ann-Sofie Räftegård, who, after more than six years in the role, assumes a new position as senior transformation lead at Volvo CE.
“It’s a pleasure to see an internal talent take on this exciting challenge,” Jernberg says. “Malin brings a wealth of experience, with her broad background across Volvo and her leadership in technology making her well-suited to advance our people and culture agenda. I’m confident Malin will make a significant impact, and I look forward to working closely with her.”
Hallbjörner and Norman also join the Volvo CE executive management team.
