Hey everybody. I’m Kevin Yanik, the editor of Pit & Quarry magazine. We’re here live at MINExpo 2024 at the Las Vegas Convention Center. Pit & Quarry has a booth in the North Hall of the convention center here and here on day one, it’s Tuesday, seeing a lot of show traffic. Thinking back to the last MINExpo, it was kind of down because it was COVID impacted. Actually, it was postponed from the 2020 version that became the 2021 show.

But, a lot of show traffic here, again, we’re in the North Hall. I’ve been over to Central Hall, and I think I took a peek at West Hall this morning because we’re spanning three different halls here at the convention center. And, and it’s looking good. The show’s off and running and a lot of excitement here. I’ve seen some aggregate producers stop by the booth as well. You know, it’s more of a mining show, I would say, but there are certainly touch points and opportunities here for aggregate producers to talk about solutions for their underground operations or talk about their surface operations too, just with their regular contacts and touch points here with equipment manufacturers and service providers. So we’re going to be here the entirety of the show, covering the show. So you can keep tabs on our coverage at pitandquarry.com/minexpo.

We did a lot of pre-show coverage for this. So you know, if you’re at the show, take a look at that web page. You know, we’ve got magazines here in the booth. Our September edition is our MINExpo edition, and we’ve got plenty of pre-show coverage, including our aggregate guide to MINExpo that can help you navigate the show floor. Again, those three halls being West Hall, Central Hall and North Hall. So again, all things are looking good. I think we’re going to see elevated show attendance here once the show is over on Thursday.

But our role here is we’re essentially getting into different booths. There are some press conferences scheduled. We’re checking out some of the latest equipment and technology that’s here in Las Vegas. We’re also planning on populating our podcast here in the coming months with some booth visits and some interviews at the North Hall booth 216. So if you’re at MINExpo, come on by, say hello, grab a copy of the magazine, and hope you have a great show if you’re here in Las Vegas.
