Caterpillar produced a training video, below, for operators of Cat K Series large wheel loaders, including the 988K, 990K, 992K, 993K and 994K.
According to Cat, the video is designed to educate potential operators and to update experienced operators on safe, efficient operation of the loaders. Topics discussed in the video are safety considerations, the location and function of controls, startup and shutdown procedures, and best practices for bucket loading, truck loading, load and carry, and floor maintenance.
“This video is intended to provide operators of K Series large wheel loaders basic proficiency for efficient machine operation,” the video says. “This video will also provide information for operators who wish to improve their knowledge on wheel loader controls and operating procedures of K Series Large Wheel Loaders.”
The video contains only theoretical content and demonstrates pre-operating and basic operating procedures.
