United States Lime & Minerals (USLM) made gains in its lime and limestone business in the fourth quarter, attributing a revenue increase to higher average selling prices and sales volumes.
USLM’s lime and limestone revenues were up 22 percent in the fourth quarter to $79.8 million.
Across all of 2024, USLM’s says its total revenues were at $316.7 million, an increase of 13 percent. USLM says the increase stems from gains in average selling prices for its lime and limestone products that were partially offset by a decrease in sales volumes. The company experienced lower demand from construction customers, but demand was up in the industrial, environmental and roof shingle space.
“We are pleased with the company’s financial performance in 2024,” says Timothy Byrne, president and CEO of USLM. “Even though overall demand was down slightly, compared to 2023, we remain guardedly optimistic moving into the first part of 2025.”
