BinMaster debuted its ToughSonic TC-100 and TC-200 non-contact ultrasonic sensors, which include general-purpose and chemical-resistant models that are suitable for measuring distances up to 50 ft.
The sensors are used for tank level measurement, remote monitoring, distance ranging, object detection and in agriculture. According to BinMaster, the uses in aggregates are aplenty – including tank level measurement for quarry wastewater, thickener tanks, and buffer or clarification tanks; liquid levels or chemical tanks used for drilling or fracking; level measurement in dewatering and water recycling operations; material handling on conveyors, such as empty or height control; conveyor belt overload prevention; and distance ranging and positioning to prevent collisions.
According to BinMaster, the TS-100 series of ultrasonic sensors offers durable stainless steel construction with heavy-duty electronics epoxy potted into type 316 stainless steel housings. TS-100 series sensors feature permanently attached cables and ruggedized piezoelectric transducers. They are offered in 14-ft., 30-ft. and 50-ft. ranges.
The TS-200 series ultrasonic sensors are made of chemical-resistant polyvinylidene fluoride plastic to resist deterioration from chemical exposure. Their heavy-duty electronics are epoxy-potted into a chemical-resistant plastic housing that physically isolates the transducer and electronics from the target material. They are ideal for vessels up to 14 ft., 30 ft. or 35 ft. tall.
