Time magazine released a special report that emphasizes the need for improved U.S. infrastructure.
According to the National Stone, Sand & Gravel Association (NSSGA), the magazine calls on President Trump to be a champion for a grand vision of America’s safer and efficient infrastructure, as well as earn support from investors and Congress.
“Making America great again starts with making America’s infrastructure great again, and this article puts a much-needed national spotlight on how we rebuild America,” says Mike Johnson, NSSGA president and CEO. “Our operations produce the very building blocks of our infrastructure and communities, but we continue to face overreaching regulations. We continue to support the president’s efforts to reform our country’s duplicative regulatory environment and improve our infrastructure.”
The magazine also hones in on how to build an efficient national rail network; how to transform abandoned factories, railways and malls into mixed-use areas; how to improve regional transit; how to add more intermodal transit hubs; how to integrate smart lanes for paid car pol services; how to create high-speed fiber networks; and how to test areas for autonomous vehicles and other new technology.
