Superior Industries unveiled the Scavenger wash circuit, a system that’s designed to help producers recover sand particles lost during the washing of fine materials. With the Scavenger, Superior aims to boost profitability and reduce waste for end users. The predesigned cyclone, sump and pump package works in combination with a fine material screw washer, capturing fine materials in the 50- to 200-mesh range that can overflow weirs and end up in waste ponds. The sand is captured by the circuit and redirected into product piles. Superior says the Scavenger eliminates the need for standalone ultrafines recovery systems. The wash circuit is designed to integrate with any brand of fine sand screw, the company adds.
