Fuel & lube skids for mobile fleet maintenance

Thunder Creek Equipment launched three all-new fuel and lube skids that bring the company’s lineup of no-HAZMAT mobile fleet management solutions to flatbed trucks, utility trailers and more. The three skids are based on current platforms available in trailer form and as truck upfits: the multi-tank oil skid, the service and lube skid and the multi-tank diesel skid. Each skid achieves no HAZMAT requirements through Thunder Creek’s original and proprietary tank design that carries fluids in quantities of 115 gallons or less while keeping them entirely independent during travel.

New blueprint for water stewardship

Weir released a new report calling for a more strategic, technology-driven approach to water management in mining. The report, titled “Untapped: Mining’s opportunity to unlock value through strategic water management and innovative technology,” offers a variety of findings. For example, Weir reports that 16 percent of the world’s critical mineral mines are in highly water-stressed areas. Through the report, Weir invites discussion to shift from process-specific problem-solving to strategic water stewardship, urging collaboration among industry leaders, technology innovators, communities, financiers and governments. Says Jon Stanton, CEO of Weir. “By working together and embracing new approaches and technologies, we can unlock greater value from water, strengthen trust with our stakeholders and help secure a more sustainable future for mining.”
