Sandvik Mobile Crushers & Screens unveiled the UJ313 as the latest addition to its line of heavy-duty wheeled crushers. The fully electric unit can be utilized in quarry and recycling applications, according to Sandvik. It is fully assembled on a single trailer frame and mounted on a triple-axle bogie. The Sandvik CJ211 jaw crusher is at the plant’s core. The UJ313 is equipped with an advanced electric-drive system. A three-way diverter chute below the grizzly and a natural fines conveyor offer on-site flexibility, maximizing capacities and the production of saleable products.
HSI made for aggregates, recycling

Cedarapids launched the TI4250 horizontal shaft impactor (HSI), which is designed for applications such as aggregates and recycling. According to Terex MPS, which operates the Cedarapids brand, the TI4250 has a modern hydraulic-assist apron adjustment that enables quick and precise setting changes to optimize operations. The crusher is equipped with four rear inspection doors and a hinged side door, providing access to the rotor, blow bars and aprons for inspection and servicing. The chamber hydraulically opens for general maintenance, as well as for turning or replacing blow bars.
Tracked cone crushing plant emerges

Finlay introduced the C-1550+ tracked cone crushing plant, building on the strengths of the C-1550 while offering increased performance, enhanced efficiency and improved serviceability. An upgraded Terex 1300X cone crusher is at the core of the C-1550+, which features a 52-in. head diameter. The C-1550+ features higher clap forces and a longer throw, offering a 15 percent increase in tonnage and production compared to the C-1550, according to Finlay. The new crusher includes ultrasonic level sensors that regulate material flow from the hopper to the crushing chamber. This ensures consistent and efficient crushing.
DTH hammers combine strengths of two lines

Epiroc debuted a new range of down-the-hole (DTH) hammers that is designed for all drilling applications. According to Epiroc, its new DTH 5 hammers feature an exceptional rate of penetration and longer service life that set a new standard for performance and cost-effectiveness. The company combined features of its QL and COP Gold hammers to develop the DTH 5 hammers. Epiroc says drill operators can now boost productivity with fewer interruptions and quicker task changes.
Automation upgrades made to cone crushing lines

Superior Industries released a new version of Vantage automation for its Patriot and Dakota cone crushers. Version 7.2 of Superior’s Vantage program is designed to improve the user experience and enhance data gathering for diagnostics. For example, Superior says redesigned screens now provide clear navigation and feature improved graphics for ease of use. Additionally, the company says individual solenoid testing and improved data recording enhance troubleshooting accuracy and visibility. According to Superior, integrating solenoid testing now eliminates the need for external tools and centralizes diagnostics directly on the touchscreen.
New ADT model emerges within revamped lineup

Volvo Construction Equipment unveiled a new size class of articulated dump truck as part of its fully revamped articulated hauler lineup. With a 50-ton payload capacity and full-suspension technology, Volvo CE says the A50 articulated hauler provides users a new option to tackle terrain in quarries. According to the company, the A50 delivers 10 percent more productivity and 8 percent greater fuel efficiency compared to the previous generation’s A45G FS. Beyond the A50, Volvo CE made updates to seven new-generation ADTs ranging from 28- to 61-ton models. Updates in the series include improved fuel efficiency, a redesigned cab with a host of new features, enhanced safety and simpler maintenance.
Tire pressure monitoring system to provide new value

OTR Engineered Solutions plans to offer Pressure Systems International’s TireView system in its line of pneumatic tire and wheel assemblies to monitor tire pressures and provide telematics. OTR will also integrate the technology for OEM customers, helping manufacturers to implement the product into their equipment offerings. According to OTR, the TireView offering includes sensors that detect pressure and temperature in each tire. Real-time data can be viewed on an optional in-cab display, through a smartphone app or on the dash of a vehicle, allowing drivers to verify correct inflation and overall tire health. OTR says alerts quickly point out potential issues. Additionally, OTR says fleet managers and rental centers can view tire and location data remotely through the TireView Live portal to track their vehicle assets and monitor tires.
