Marco, a manufacturer of bulk material handling conveyors and the latest brand to join the Terex Materials Processing portfolio of materials-processing products, hosted an Introduction Days for nearly 60 Terex distributors and team members at its facility in Missouri.
The North American-based distributors were invited to learn about Marco’s history, the manufacturing facility in Mount Vernon, Missouri, and about distribution opportunities.
Steven Aiken, business line director for Terex conveying systems, detailed Marco’s history, its current state and why Terex purchased the brand earlier this year. Additionally, Trevor Park, general manager for the Marco facility, provided an overview of the Marco product range while unveiling the brand’s plans, which include an expansion of the manufacturing facility.
“We have ambitious plans for the Terex Mount Vernon site,” Aiken says. “A facility of this size with plenty of room for expansion gives us a real opportunity to increase our production capacity for conveyors in North America. Terex purchased Marco and the Mount Vernon factory in April 2023, so while it is early days, we have made great progress in that time. We’re currently in the process of modernizing the facility and putting processes in place to bring Terex Mount Vernon up to the standards we expect from all Terex facilities.”
