MACS (Mobile Aggregate Crushing System) plants utilize larger crushers and screens than what’s typically used in track-mounted or wheeled plants, according to Terex. Now, MACS offers the MVP450X cone crusher, which is configured with a number of features to increase productivity and ease of use, the company says. Enhancements include high-speed clearing of jammed material and quicker crusher separation capabilities for faster manganese changes, Terex says. The units travel at less than 13 ft., 6 in. high and at less than 12 ft. wide. Interplant conveyors are designed into the units so separate transfer conveyors are not required. Folding conveyors and walkways set up using on-board hydraulics, eliminating the need for cranes or lifts.
