Superior Industries is hosting an open house tour of a custom-built, high-capacity wash plant at Gila River Sand & Gravel’s new Blackwater Plant in Coolidge, Arizona.

Aggregate professionals are invited for an up-close look Feb. 25 at the plant, which was designed and engineered to produce C33 concrete sand and mortar sand. Kimball Equipment sold the 1,000-tph wash plant to the operation located about 50 minutes southwest of the Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport.

The new wash plant includes a surge tunnel that feeds plants or can move raw material to truck loadout. It also features two 8-ft. x. 20-ft. wet horizontal screens fed by clay-scrubbing blade mills, two sand plants with cyclones and dewatering screens, flexible production of C33 concrete sand and mortar sand, and advanced systems that optimize water use and reduce waste.

Attendees will have the opportunity to tour the wash plant, engage with Superior’s experts and the host producer, and learn how custom solutions like this one can transform their own washing strategies.
