Just outside the Quad Cities, Riverstone Group’s Cleveland Quarry in Colona, Illinois, recently installed a new P500 Patriot® Cone Crusher from Superior Industries. “The efficiency of the crusher has really upgraded our capacity,” says plant manager Scott Skerston. “At its half-inch closed side setting, we’re getting 80-percent through the cone the first time. I think the bevel gear design transfers more energy to the rock than it does to the structure. Our structure isn’t taking the force of the motor, the cone is transferring it effectively.”
