Studson, a safety helmet and accessor maker, opened a new headquarters facility in Sherwood, Oregon, with a ribbon-cutting event.
Studson introduced the SHK-1 safety helmet and accessories in 2021. Between 2022 and 2024, the company says it increased sales by 706 percent.
This prompted a move to Sherwood from the previous location in Tigard, Oregon.
“Our new Sherwood headquarters is a notable milestone for Studson,” says Ryan Barnes, the company’s founder and CEO. “We sold and shipped more than 362,000 safety helmets last year, and we’re projected to surpass that in 2025.
“The new office – especially the warehouse space – is mission-critical for meeting the significant demand from industrial organizations opting for Studson safety helmets and accessories over the traditional hard hats of yesteryear.”
Studson seeks to accelerate innovation and improve order processing amid growing demand for its above-the-neck personal protective equipment. The new facility features multiple office suites, conference rooms, collaborative spaces and a warehouse that’s 28,000 sq. ft. larger than its previous location.
The grand-opening event included representatives from the Sherwood Chamber of Commerce, Schnitzer Properties, the American Heart Association and technology partners, including representatives from Koroyd, Twiceme Technology, Fidlock and HighBar.
“We are thrilled to welcome Studson to Sherwood,” says Tim Rosenor, mayor of Sherwood. “Their commitment to innovation, safety and growth reflects the values we champion as a city. Studson’s new headquarters is not only a win for our local economy, but also a testament to Sherwood’s ability to attract cutting-edge companies making a national impact.”
Studson was founded in 2019 with the goal of transforming industrial head protection. The company developed one of the first ANSI Z89.1 Type II safety helmets with a chinstrap, providing 360-degree head protection against slips, trips and falls on the job.
