Stedman Machine Co. debuted an anvil ring for its vertical shaft impactors (VSI). The company’s VSIs use high-speed rotors and anvils for impact crushing, rather than compression force for the energy needed for size reduction.
According to Stedman, the anvil ring is easily adjustable by an external threaded jack bolt, and its position is verified externally by an integral position integrator. It can be repositioned with common hand tools in half the time previously required, the company adds. Users can also adjust the anvil ring position up and down, which allows for even wear across the entire wear surface.
In addition, internal access to the crusher is not required for anvil ring adjustment, which helps increase safety and decrease downtime.
