SME-sponsored summit report, toolkit available

The final report and toolkit from the first Diversity in the Minerals, Metals and Materials Professions Summit, co-sponsored by the Society for Mining, Metallurgy & Exploration, is now available for use.

The summit, which was held July 2014 at the National Academy of Sciences in Washington, D.C., keyed in on five themes: mentorship, work-life balance, community, awareness and vigilance. The report focuses on each of these themes, while the toolkit includes information and interactive links to tools learned at the summit.

Allison Kral is the former senior digital media manager for North Coast Media (NCM). She completed her undergraduate degree at Ohio University where she received a Bachelor of Science in magazine journalism from the E.W. Scripps School of Journalism.
