Sandvik Mining & Rock Technology designated Volvo Construction Equipment Service (VCES) as a new distributor of mobile crushers and screens for northern California.
VCES supplies customers with equipment and aftermarket support in states located north of the San Bernardino line, where it has four locations. VCES has more than 30 years of experience, 75 service personnel and 14 salespeople.
Sandvik aims for VCES to provide local customer support while allowing customers to benefit from dealing with a global company.
“The appointment of VCES as a Sandvik dealer will have an immediate positive impact on the business in terms of product diversification to the existing market sectors we serve,” says David Hill, president of VCES. “Sandvik products align well with other OEMs we represent and the segments we serve, including building materials and infrastructure segments.
“Many VCES current customers operate in quarrying, batching plants and other industries in which Sandvik has a presence,” Hill adds. “We recognize Sandvik as a respectable and reputable brand in the global market and would like to thank them for their confidence in VCES and for giving us an opportunity to represent them in northern California.”
Jan Schroeder, territory manager of the Americas at Sandvik Mining & Rock Technology for mobile crushers and screens, shares in Hill’s excitement.
“We are very excited to start our partnership with Volvo in northern California,” Schroeder says. “The market has always been one of the strongest in the U.S., and we are happy to have a distributor who has the setup to represent our brand in this promising environment. With their strong position in our core segments such as quarries and demolition sites, we have a great partner to offer technical solutions and a tight logistical network close to our customers.”
