The construction materials industry’s events calendar intensifies each year in the first quarter, with trade shows like World of Concrete, MINExchange and AGG1 Aggregates Academy & Expo on the docket in 2024.
Additionally, safety is a theme of several first-quarter meetings, including the Missouri Mine Safety & Health Conference, the Ontario Stone, Sand & Gravel Association’s (OSSGA) Operations, Health & Safety Seminar, and the Kentucky Crushed Stone Association’s (KCSA) Safety & Education Seminar.
The Missouri Mine Safety & Health Conference will take place Jan. 11-12 in Osage Beach, Missouri. Among those scheduled to speak is Nick Scala, an attorney and partner at Conn Maciel Carey who will cover Mine Safety & Health Administration (MSHA) issues and compliance. Yet another industry meeting covering safety – the Kentucky Crushed Stone Association’s (KCSA) Safety & Education Seminar – is scheduled for Feb. 28-29 in Louisville, Kentucky. Those who attend KCSA’s Safety & Education Seminar will learn about the latest safety trends.
