Rogers Group acquired Caldwell Stone Co., an aggregate producer based in Danville, Kentucky.
The Caldwell Stone site will now operate as part of Rogers Group while retaining its legacy name.
“We are excited to welcome the Caldwell Stone team into the Rogers Group family,” says Jimmy Patton, president and CEO of Rogers Group. “Their strong community relationships, skilled workforce and commitment to quality align with our values and mission. This addition allows us to better serve our customers and continue building strong infrastructure across the region.”
Clay Albright, the longtime assistant quarry manager at Caldwell Stone, expressed his excitement about the deal in a LinkedIn post.
“Since 1960, Caldwell Stone Co. has been a part of our family, from my grandparents to my parents to my sister and all of our families,” he says. “Today marks a huge time in all of our lives as we become part of The Rogers Group, the largest privately held, family-owned crushed stone producer in the country, with over 80 quarries spanning 12 states.
“We couldn’t be more excited for the future and what it holds,” Albright adds.
The Caldwell Stone deal is one of several Rogers Group made in Kentucky this year. Rogers Group expanded this spring with the acquisition of Albany Quarry, Albany Asphalt and Jamestown Stone. The company also purchased Kentucky’s Sterling Materials earlier this year.
