Before working with Horton Supply, Ramboldt Excavating utilized Bobcat of St. Louis as a supplier for its earthmoving equipment.
At the time, Bobcat of St. Louis was a Screen Machine dealer.
“That’s how the introduction to Screen Machine was made to Ramboldt,” Freitag says. “We took it over, and [Ramboldt] had no background in crushing or screening. We partnered up with them and helped get them to where they are. They now have three crushers and two screen plants.”
In addition to the two crushers and screen plants from Screen Machine, Ramboldt also purchased a Metso Lokotrack LT200HP cone plant from Horton Supply.
As Ramboldt describes, having both Horton Supply and Screen Machine in the company’s corner has been crucial to its growth.
“They both have been great to work with,” Ramboldt says. “They are always willing to help at a moment’s notice. Both companies understand that time is money in the mining industry.”
Horton Supply will always be Ramboldt’s go-to dealer.
“When you work with a company like Horton Supply, you know you will always be taken care of,” Ramboldt says. “It is great having a strong company that is easy to work with and willing to help with needs while building a company. Paul [Harrison] and Jerry have done everything right.
“To this day, when I pull into the quarry, it is still surreal to me,” he adds. “I couldn’t do it without Horton, my team at the quarry and all our wonderful customers.”
