The top 10

10. Granite Construction (previous ranking: 10th)
9. Summit Materials (previous ranking: 11th)
8. Teichert (previous ranking: 8th)
7. Cemex USA (previous ranking: 7th)
6. Holcim US (previous ranking: 6th)
5. Knife River Corp., formerly MDU Resources Group (previous ranking: 4th)
4. Heidelberg Materials, formerly Lehigh Hanson (previous ranking: 3rd)
3. Martin Marietta (previous ranking: 5th)
2. Vulcan Materials Co. (previous ranking: 2nd)
1. CRH Americas Materials (previous ranking: 1st)

Very few changes take place within the top 10. CRH retains its spot as the nation’s top sand and gravel producer, and Vulcan is still second. Martin Marietta moves up two spots while Heidelberg Materials and Knife River each drop a slot each. Summit Materials slips into the top 10, taking the No. 9 position after previously ranking 11th.
