Quarry Faces: November 2025

Matt Poeppelman, vice president of Poeppelman Materials, met with P&Q this summer at the company’s office in Bradford, Ohio. He also led a tour of the quarry, where a Lippmann jaw, Metso cones and Process Machinery-designed systems play a critical role in producing rock for ready-mixed concrete.

Master Power Transmission, a gearbox manufacturer, opened its doors to P&Q this summer in Columbus, Indiana. With about 80 employees on-site, Master PT aims to ship 75 percent of parts orders to customers within 48 hours. P&Q also met with CDL instructor Savannah Graham (left) and training specialist Amanda Miley during a Knife River Training Center tour in Albany, Oregon. The 230-acre site features a state-of-the-art facility designed for both classroom and hands-on training. At its heart is a heated dome spanning 200 ft. x 400 ft., with a dirt arena and a concrete viewing platform.

Allied Rock, which is part of Siegmund Companies, was another stop on P&Q’s Pacific Northwest tour this summer. Pictured (from left) are chief construction officer Gibson Kuenzi, president Andrew Siegmund and vice president of operations Alan Siegmund. Andrew Siegmund, who guided P&Q through the company’s X-Rock and South Rock quarries, is featured in this month’s P&Q Profile on page 54, where he shares his market outlook, the company’s growth and emerging technology.

Also in attendance at AEM’s ConExpo-Con/Agg Exhibitor Meeting was Julie Alguire, marketing coordinator at Haver & Boecker Niagara. More than 300 exhibiting companies attended the show to get a glimpse at what ConExpo-Con/Agg 2026 will look like.
