
Hawaiian Cement leaders gave Pit & Quarry tours of two aggregate operations this fall, including a site in Kahului on Maui. Warren Miguel, who’s been operating Hawaiian Cement’s wet processing plant in Kahului the last five years, also visited with P&Q, sharing his experience with the wet processing plant.

Over on Oahu, Hawaiian Cement’s Brad Tollefsen hopped out of his Cat loader to discuss the similarities and differences in the wet processing plant present at the company’s site in Aiea, Hawaii. Look for full coverage of P&Q’s visits to Hawaiian Cement in an upcoming edition of the magazine.

Meanwhile, in Washington, Stedman Machine Co.’s Chris Nawalaniec, left, posed with Pat Jacomet of the Ohio Aggregates & Industrial Minerals Association during the National Stone, Sand & Gravel Association’s Legislative & Policy Forum. Nawalaniec, Jacomet and the Ohio contingent – which included three P&Q representatives – lobbied Ohio congressmen to pass the Infrastructure Investment & Jobs Act.
