Members of the South Carolina Aggregates Association’s (SCAA) Emerging Leaders Program toured Vulcan Materials’ Columbia Quarry in Columbia, South Carolina, ahead of the association’s recent Workshop and Exhibit. The program, facilitated by Greg Coker, author of “The Five Pillars of Leadership,” provides SCAA member companies with opportunities to develop their rising leaders.

Also at the SCAA Workshop and Exhibit, Joel Reynolds (center), general sales manager at Blanchard Machinery, was presented with the 2025 Mike Newman Outstanding Service Award. According to SCAA, the award recognizes individuals whose leadership, commitment and service have made a lasting impact on the association and the industry. Also on stage for the award presentation were Blanchard Machinery’s Rozier Blanchard and SCAA’s Jessica Palmer.

Additionally, SCAA awarded $30,000 in scholarships to 20 students. One recipient was Malik Robinson of Conn-Weld Industries (pictured). Robinson, who has worked as a content specialist at Conn-Weld since 2023, is pursuing a degree in business administration with a marketing emphasis.

P&Q was on hand for the Ohio Aggregates and Industrial Minerals Association’s Annual Meeting late last year in Columbus, Ohio. Among the record 97 exhibiting companies was Columbus Equipment Co. In attendance from the company were Bryce Chekan (left), Cindy Brown (center) and Josh Lovett.

ProStack named Tyalta Industries its distributor in several Canadian provinces, including Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba and Saskatchewan.
