Pit & Quarry was on the road quite a bit in the first quarter of 2023, attending industry events such as the International Society of Explosives Engineers’ (ISEE) Annual Conference on Explosives & Blasting Technique in San Antonio; the Georgia Construction Aggregate Association (GCAA) Management Workshop & Expo in Atlanta; and Demolition Phoenix, the National Demolition Association’s Annual Convention & Expo. P&Q representatives also attended MineXchange, the SME Annual Conference & Expo, along with ConExpo-Con/Agg in March.

P&Q also visited with Hennie Du Preez, manager of BME, at the ISEE conference. BME showcased its range of Axxis equipment. The range includes initiating systems and electronic detonators for surface and underground operations.
The annual GCAA Management Workshop & Expo attracted 88 exhibitors, including representatives from GeoLogic, a firm specializing in geological engineering, mining engineering and dam evaluation services for industrial and large-scale development projects.
