Konya Mining Co. hosted P&Q at its bag plant (seen in background) and mine site this fall in Jackson, Ohio. Mine manager Warren Boord (left) and vice president of mining operations Bob Sapp (right) offered the magazine a tour of the mining operation and previewed what’s ahead for the site, which Konya Mining acquired in 2024.

Also this fall, P&Q ventured to ASGCO in Nazareth, Pennsylvania, where president Aaron Gibbs (center) offered a tour of the company’s manufacturing facility. Following the tour, engineering department manager Lee Williams (left) and engineering manager Andrew Collier (right) joined Gibbs in the company’s dedicated training area to discuss ASGCO’s latest investments in training.

Mellott, meanwhile, named Nick Ecker (right) president near the start of November. According to Mellott, Ecker brings executive leadership experience from across the construction equipment and heavy machinery industries. In conjunction with the appointment, Rich Blake (left) will continue to serve as Mellott CEO. In this capacity, Blake will maintain responsibility for the company’s overall strategic direction, long-term relationships and future growth initiatives.

Separately this fall, the magazine visited Southern Stone Co. in Jackson, Missouri, where (pictured from left) quarry manager Jerady Sticka, safety manager Adam LeBlanc and procurement manager Rebecca Bertram hosted P&Q.

Additionally, P&Q visited Capital Aggregates’ California Quarry in California, Missouri. Pictured from left are safety director Kevin Nichols, COO Jamie Jones and production manager Brad Bartley. The three are standing in front of a five-piece Metso portable crushing spread that’s been running for more than 20 years. The spread consists of a Lokotrack LT1213 HSI crusher, two Lokotrack LT110 jaw crushers, a Nordberg HP300 cone crusher and a Lokotrack ST620 triple-deck screener.
