Purvis Industries acquired Torque Drives, a family-owned industrial distributor serving Ohio, western Pennsylvania and northern West Virginia.
Torque Drives has branch locations in North Canton and Youngstown, Ohio.
According to Purvis Industries, Torque Drives distributes power transmission components, AC and DC drives and motors, motion control products and material handling components.

Torque Drives owners Melanie Culp and Kim Madrid will remain with the company moving forward, according to Purvis Industries.

Purvis Industries, which is based in Dallas, has 103 locations across 18 states. The company was established in 1945 in Waco, Texas.
