While ConExpo-Con/Agg is the big industry draw to Las Vegas next month, the National Stone, Sand & Gravel Association (NSSGA) Annual Convention will also bring producers, manufacturers and allied trade representatives together.
The NSSGA Annual Convention is being held jointly this year with the National Ready Mixed Concrete Association’s Annual Convention (NRMCA). NSSGA’s festivities run March 1-3, while NRMCA’s are Feb. 28 to March 3.
Both conventions will take place at Fontainebleau Las Vegas, which opened in December 2023. The venue is only about a mile from the Las Vegas Convention Center, where ConExpo-Con/Agg will take place March 3-7.
As usual, the NSSGA Annual Convention includes committee meetings, breakout sessions, networking receptions and keynote speakers.
“We are really looking forward to it,” says Jen Dugas, NSSGA’s vice president of meetings and membership. “We love being in Las Vegas every three years.”
Pro Football Hall of Famer Terry Bradshaw, a longtime commentator on “Fox NFL Sunday,” will deliver the keynote at the joint convention at 8:30 a.m. March 2. Bradshaw, a four-time Super Bowl champion, is expected to deliver a high-energy, inspirational talk that will set the tone for the week.
A ROCKPAC Donor Appreciation event is another highlight of the March 2 slate. The gathering will take place at Fontainebleau’s LIV Nightclub.
Another convention speaker is Jon Lakefish, who will explore how AI tools can help NSSGA member companies improve operational decision-making, safety analysis and data-driven maintenance planning. Lakefish will address the convention March 3 during the NSSGA board of directors’ lunch.
