With a new year approaching, Pit & Quarry is making preparations for its two 2025 events: the Pit & Quarry Roundtable & Conference and the Pit & Quarry Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony.

The 2025 Pit & Quarry Roundtable & Conference will take place Jan. 30-31 in Phoenix, while the black-tie Pit & Quarry Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony is slated for the evening of March 24 in St. Louis.

The Pit & Quarry Roundtable & Conference is headed West for the first time in eight years.

The 2025 event will take place at The Wigwam, a luxury resort located about 20 miles west of downtown Phoenix.

“We are happy to be returning the Pit & Quarry Roundtable & Conference to Arizona,” says Rob Fulop, group publisher at Pit & Quarry. “Through the years, we have held several Roundtable events in Arizona, garnering great participation and enthusiastic attendees.”

The Roundtable presents aggregate producers with opportunities to network with equipment manufacturers, dealers and other leaders from around the industry. The producers who attend get industry updates related to legislation, regulation and safety, and they hear a forecast for the year to come on construction materials.

A key component of the 2025 Roundtable will be roundtable-style discussions between the event’s attendees. Topics discussed at the 2024 Roundtable were equipment and technology, safety, global developments, industry trade shows, and the year ahead.

Additionally, Pit & Quarry will host a golf outing for Roundtable attendees Jan. 30 on The Wigwam’s Gold Course. Nicknamed “Arizona’s Monster,” the Gold Course has hosted signature tournaments over the years – including U.S. Open qualifying events.

Interested producers can apply to attend the Roundtable at pitandquarryroundtable.com. Equipment manufacturers, dealers and others interested in sponsoring the Roundtable can contact publisher Rob Fulop at rfulop@northcoastmedia.net; associate publisher Dino Vitanza at dvitanza@northcoastmedia.net; or account executive Gianna Zucker at gzucker@northcoastmedia.net.

The Hall of Fame

Although the next Pit & Quarry Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony is still several months away, nominations for the 2025 class are still being accepted. The magazine will close nominations before the end of this year.

Aggregate producers, manufacturers, dealers and other industry stakeholders are all eligible for induction to the Pit & Quarry Hall of Fame. A neutral board comprised of various industry segments reviews all nominations to determine which individuals earn induction.

Nominations can be submitted at pitandquarryhalloffame.com/nominate.

P&Q last enshrined a Hall of Fame class in March, when Tom Hill (Summit Materials), Neil Hise (Cemco), Louis Johnson (El-Jay Manufacturing) and Charlie Luck IV (Luck Stone) joined 36 others who were previously inducted.

Pit & Quarry established its Hall of Fame in 2013 to pay tribute to the pioneers of the past, as well as present-day industry leaders.
