The Pit & Quarry Roundtable & Conference is headed West.

The magazine will host the 2025 Pit & Quarry Roundtable & Conference at The Wigwam in Litchfield Park, Arizona. The two-day event will take place Jan. 30-31 at the luxury resort located about 20 miles west of downtown Phoenix.

“After an eight-year absence, we are happy to be returning the Pit & Quarry Roundtable & Conference to Arizona,” says Rob Fulop, group publisher at Pit & Quarry. “Through the years, we have held several Roundtable events in Arizona, garnering great participation and enthusiastic attendees.”

The Roundtable, an annual event Pit & Quarry hosts, presents aggregate producers with a plethora of opportunities to network with equipment manufacturers, dealers and other leaders from around the industry. Producers who attend get industry updates related to legislation, regulation and safety, and they’re presented with a forecast for the year to come on construction materials.

A key component of the 2025 Roundtable will be roundtable-style discussions between the event’s attendees. Topics discussed at the 2024 Roundtable were equipment and technology, safety, the upcoming election, global developments, industry trade shows, and the year ahead.

Additionally, Pit & Quarry will host a golf outing for Roundtable attendees Jan. 30 on The Wigwam’s Gold Course. Nicknamed “Arizona’s Monster,” the Gold Course has hosted signature tournaments over the years – including U.S. Open qualifying events.

Roundtable history

Pit & Quarry first hosted the event that morphed into the modern-day Roundtable & Conference in 1996. Originally dubbed the Equipment & Technology Suppliers Roundtable, the event incorporated aggregate producers in its early years and was eventually rebranded as the Pit & Quarry Roundtable & Conference.

Pit & Quarry takes the Roundtable to different U.S. cities each year after hosting the inaugural meeting in Cleveland at the corporate office of the magazine’s parent company. Florida is often a destination for the Roundtable, with premier venues in Bonita Springs, Coral Gables and Naples serving as past hosts. Other cities that hosted a Roundtable over the last 25 years are Chicago, Nashville, and Asheville, North Carolina.

The magazine hosted its 2024 Roundtable in February at PGA National Resort in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. Pit & Quarry’s 32-page report fully dedicated to the 2024 Roundtable can be accessed here.

The last Roundtable to take place in Arizona was the 2017 event in Scottsdale.
