The P&Q Aggregate Industry Index advanced again this month, moving from 379 in November to 386.
Did you know there’s a number behind the number? Pit & Quarry’s formula for the P&Q Index results in a base number that is used to determine the final number for a given month. Earlier calculations for January’s base number indicate the index could rise again next month. If it does, it would mark the fourth consecutive increase for the base number.
That last happened in 2013/2014, when the base number rose for seven consecutive months.
