
Process Machinery Inc. (PMI) was named the 2024 Kentucky Manufacturer of the Year by the Kentucky Association of Manufacturers (KAM).
According to PMI, the award acknowledges its dedication to ingenuity, entrepreneurship and corporate citizenship.
“We continually reinvest in the company through technology, education and a culture of stewardship,” says Jennifer Ratterman, executive vice president and co-owner of PMI.
KAM also recognized a PMI employee – Matt Pangburn – as its 2024 Kentucky Manufacturing Employee of the Year.
Pangburn is a 12-year veteran who serves PMI as construction services manager. PMI says Pangburn has introduced new technologies that enhanced design accuracy, reduced errors and boosted production capacity.
Additionally, PMI says his initiatives to streamline workflows improved project outcomes, increased efficiency and shortened lead times for customers.
“Matt has been instrumental in shaping PMI’s future,” says Corey Tipton, estimating manager at PMI. “His collaborative approach and focus on innovation have not only improved production processes but also empowered teams to thrive. Through mentorship and a commitment to continuous improvement, Matt has set a lasting standard for leadership at PMI.”
Pangburn was honored to receive the award.
“It reflects the incredible teamwork at PMI, where innovation and collaboration drive us forward,” he says. “I’m fortunate to work alongside talented individuals who are committed to growth and success every day.”
PMI, which is headquartered in Shelbyville, Kentucky, was founded in 1979. It offers engineered systems, distributed products and services.
