The National Stone, Sand & Gravel Association (NSSGA) named the recipients of its Environmental Excellence Awards, which recognize operations that actively demonstrate a commitment to the use of environmental controls and systems.
NSSGA says a total of 83 awards were distributed – one platinum, nine gold, 10 silver and 63 bronze.
“Our industry could not operate without being good environmental stewards of our natural resources,” says Michael Johnson, president and CEO of NSSGA. “We congratulate those who strive for environmental excellence their organizations by announcing the winners of our Environmental Awards of Excellence. Despite the challenges of the past year, NSSGA’s members continue to raise the bar with their commitment and engagement to environmental issues for our industry.”
