The National Stone, Sand & Gravel Association’s (NSSGA) Annual Convention is underway in St. Louis, where more than 600 leaders from across the aggregate industry have convened.

“I want to thank everyone for attending the meeting this week,” says Michele Stanley, interim NSSGA president and CEO. “Active engagement in these meetings supports our association’s work all year round.”

Helena Boschi, an internationally recognized psychologist and neuroscientist specializing in the application of brain science to the workplace, addressed convention goers during a convention general session on Monday. The convention’s general session on Tuesday features a CEO roundtable. Former NFL quarterback Archie Manning will address the convention on Wednesday.

Committee meetings, breakout sessions and networking events are part of the Annual Convention festivities as well.

“Thank you all for joining us this week and for your support of our great industry through NSSGA,” says Jim Nickolas, executive vice president and CFO at Martin Marietta who serves as NSSGA chair. “The past year has been a tremendous success. We saw unprecedented growth in our association’s membership, our events attracted industry leaders and new professionals alike, and we continued to build strong relationships with members of Congress, administration officials and other stakeholders.”

NSSGA is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year, commemorating the milestone with special resources, promotions and branding initiatives at every association event.

AGG1 Aggregates Academy & Expo is taking place in conjunction this week with the NSSGA Annual Convention. The three-day AGG1 begins Tuesday at America’s Center Convention Complex in St. Louis.
