Nominations for the Pit & Quarry Hall of Fame’s 2027 class are now open.
Pit & Quarry will enshrine the 2027 class during a black-tie induction ceremony ahead of next year’s AGG1 Aggregates Academy & Expo in New Orleans. The ceremony historically precedes the start of AGG1, which is scheduled to get underway next year on March 15 at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center.
Aggregate producers, equipment manufacturers, dealers and association representatives are all eligible for nomination to the Pit & Quarry Hall of Fame. Posthumous nominations are accepted, as well.
A selection committee comprised of industry leaders and members of the Hall of Fame will ultimately select the members of the 2027 class.
“The Pit & Quarry Hall of Fame recognizes the individuals whose leadership, innovation and dedication helped shape the aggregates industry,” says Rob Fulop, group publisher of Pit & Quarry. “We encourage companies, colleagues and peers across the industry to nominate deserving candidates who left a lasting impact on the aggregates industry and the people who work in it.”
Pit & Quarry last welcomed new members to the Hall of Fame in 2025, when Gerry Bauer (EccoFab), Ron DeDiemar, Tom Hill (Vulcan Materials) and Edgar B. Symons (Symons Brothers Co.) were enshrined in front of more than 160 guests in St. Louis. The four joined 40 others who previously joined the Hall of Fame’s ranks.
The Hall of Fame was established in 2013 to pay tribute to pioneers of the past, as well as present-day industry leaders. Nominations for the 2027 class can be submitted at pitandquarryhalloffame.com.
