The National Stone, Sand & Gravel Association (NSSGA) named Rep. Nick Langworthy (R-New York) a Rock Star Award winner at its annual Legislative & Policy Forum in Washington.
Langworthy joins Rep. Salud Carbajal (D-California) as a 2024 recipient of NSSGA’s Rock Star Award.
According to NSSGA, Langworthy was honored with the award for his work championing industry policy issues. The association says Langworthy led on key aggregate report language within the Farm Bill. He is also the Republican lead on the Congressional Aggregates Caucus.
“During his freshman year in Congress, Rep. Langworthy has established himself as a champion for the aggregates industry and spearheaded policies that are important to us,” says Michael Johnson, president and CEO of NSSGA. “Thank you to Rep. Langworthy, as well as his staff, for their leadership on these critical policies that will help our industry provide the essential materials needed for our infrastructure across the country.”
As NSSGA describes, the Rock Star Award is given annually to members of Congress who go above and beyond for the industry.
