Motion Industries, a distributor of maintenance, repair and operation replacement parts and a wholly-owned subsidiary of Genuine Parts Co., named Chris Pacer vice president of the company’s Central Group.

A graduate of the University of Toledo with a bachelor’s degree in engineering technology, Pacer has more than 24 years of experience within the industry.

Pacer spent the last 22 years with Motion Industries, dedicating himself to a variety of key roles in the organization. He will now lead the company’s newly formed Central Group.

Pacer joined Motion Industries as a certified fluid power specialist in 1997, working his way up to branch manager. He later joined the company’s corporate accounts team before being promoted to his latest position: Detroit Division vice president and general manager. In that role, Pacer was responsible for the further development and the overall growth of 22 branch operations and one service center.

“Chris’ experience and drive will provide the perfect foundation for his next challenge of leading the Central Group to success,” says Mark Stoneburner, Motion Industries’ senior vice president of Eastern sales and branch operations, mergers and acquisitions. “The promotion is well-deserved, and we are excited to see him start this new decade in a new leadership role.”

Adds Randy Breaux, president of Motion Industries: “I’m very proud of Chris and his accomplishments to date. Over the years, Chris’ acumen for the business, dedication to success, and persistent drive for superior customer service make him the right person to fill this leadership role. I look forward to seeing accelerated growth and success for the Central Group under his direction.”

With annual sales of $6.3 billion, Motion Industries is an industrial parts distributor of bearings, mechanical power transmission, electrical and industrial automation, hydraulic and industrial hose, hydraulic and pneumatic components, industrial products, safety products, and material handling.

Motion Industries has more than 600 locations, including 15 distribution centers throughout North America.
